It’s good that you are willing to appoint additional moderators to such communities. Otherwise many of them would have serious problem with bus factor.

Actually, can you (and more importantly, should you?) make a list of all the communities that look abandoned? Criteria being what, all moderators last active 2+ years ago?
Or would that bring more trouble than it would benefit?

    I have a query for “inactive community mods” and dead communities, but we haven’t decided to do anything with them. For the moment, we just want to leave them and all their posts up, and transfer them to anyone active who wants them.
