Namco may not have been the 1st being beaten by the likes of SEGA, Capcom, Taito and even Atari. But when they did finally jump into the Arcade space, they did it with grace. Taking inspiration from classics such as Space Invaders as well as a couple of odd ball inspirations outside of gaming, and ended up creating something that did wonders for gaming as a whole inviting people of all ages and all genders into what was originally a mostly Male dominated field. PAC-MAN MANIA was crazier than you think. With games such as Ms Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man, Baby Pac-Man, Professor Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, The Hannah Barbera cartoon show, Super Pac-Man, & Pac-Mania to name but a few… and that was just in the arcades. When Pac-Man came to the systems like the Atari 2600 and the NES along with all the home computers and handhelds too the world fell in love with him even more.
