And on a side note: I wonder what happened to the vast sways of prime agricultural land there that was leased for 99 years to Chinese companies for food exports some years ago… (edit: see link below, probably some old fake news I remembered)

I was looking for it, but couldn’t quickly find them. But I am pretty sure there was some outrage over land-grabbing a few years back.
