This explains why the current batch is ANSI only, but it came at quite a surprise for me as I was expecting the Pinebook Pro to be also quite popular in Europe.

Anyone has a good theory why it is apparently much more popular in the US and other countries that prefer ANSI keyboards?

I tried looking up the difference between ANSI and ISO but it is still not clear to me ? Is Azerty an ISO one and is US Qwerty an ANSI one ?

No, ISO is the english keyboard used in the UK and which maps a bit better to other European keyboard layouts like German ones.

Extra key right to left shift + return key is different

I’m glad I could get my ISO one right after the lockdowns began last year. I love this device.
