The roundtable discusses the current political situation in Thailand following the latest military coup d'état in 2014, the subsequent transfer to a military-backed civilian regime and the anticipated general election. The panellist also discusses among other things the constitutional issues regarding the senate structure put in place following the coup of 2014, the latest key decision by the Constitution Court which allowed the former army general turned Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha to remain de-facto in power for more than 8 years and possible shifts in the country's power dynamics.
