Pirating fonts

Hello!

Video game, movie, etc. piracy is often talked about, but do you know any site or anything really that focuses on fonts?

There was a way to pirate commercial fonts from GitHub. Many people would commit commercial fonts to public GitHub repos and you could use their search function to find them.

I am not sure if it still works because I haven’t had to use it in a long time. You can try searching for “font piracy github” to find some articles about it.

It’s true- every time I want some kind of Microsoft nonfree font to use in Linux (Yeah, I love Segoe UI, wanna fight about it??) I eventually find my way to someone’s github repo.

Not helpful, but closer to 2 decades ago Usernet used to be good a good source of niche things like this.
