If so, let’s create a writing collective or help each other out.
Thoughts?
I am, but I only wrote 2 paragraphs related to world-building
You are!
Thanks, we can work together, if you want. It’s totally fine. Sorry I wasn’t here last few weeks. I decided to take a break from things to focus on a personal project.
How can we write it out collectively? Like write a bit here and there and it saves for everyone?
I’m currently exploring that right now.
Nice, comrade. Let me know if you find anything, I’m very willing to contribute to this work
It’s a dream of mine to create a “communist writers” movement, but frankly, I don’t know if something will come of it.
All the same, I’m hopeful.
A movement would have to start somewhere nonetheless. In any case, whether it turns out to be a movement or not, I just wish I could write something with other comrades and perhaps sell it locally
Yes, I think we should try to start one, and I’m dead serious right now.
How would you like to work in a collective? There are some other comrades talking about this very thing.
Google documents is pretty good for that, but it’s - of course - a google product so privacy isn’t an option with it. IDK of anything else that works the same way, other than Emailing or sending the work back and forth with revisions and background explanations on it.
There is hackmd. If you google it you can find instances hosting it. It’s decentralised like Lemmy is.
Another option is hosting a git repo on something like codeberg.org but requires you to know git.
Honestly, I don’t really care that much about privacy hehe

Thank you.
I keep trying to write things, then I lose the will to live and stop.
The only reason I haven’t finished GWIC (there’s a lemmygrad community for it, I pushed an inferior ‘first volume’ during the 2020 protests if you want to read a part of it) and published it is because everytime I sit down and try to finish, I get overcome with deep anxiety about it being ‘too late’ to publish, but also ‘too early’ for the revolution to be successful.
Then there’s the OC star wars story, and other fictions, where I start working on them, then I get nostalgic for my old writing group and get too sad to continue. I might push that one unfinished onto a fanfic site and forget about it.
Perhaps we can start our own writing collective? It’s time to move on, I feel. Let’s do it together sometime.
I’m open for it, but I don’t have a lotta time to dedicate to it rn.
Fair enough.
