I just learned about the hard-coded word filter in Lemmy and I must say I am kinda mad I didn’t see this before else I would have NEVER setup an instance for this.

I do NOT stand for this way of filtering and especially the bullshit reasons too keep it. “To much work for DB updates”? Wow…

So it’s time to close down this platform and start looking for something else.

I hope the #Lemmy developers gonna rethink this BIG ISSUE and maybe get the right people back. If not, good luck in the future. :-)

For now, THINK FOR YOURSELF and do not let anyone else dictate it for you like the devs are trying.

    Lemmy has a couple of problems (the list of taboo words is not even the worst) but i don’t think you’ll find a better alternative.

        Do a search of lemmy post history. We’ve spent a lot of words and energy discussing it already, much more than it warrants - it’s such a small and useless thing. I am sick of talking about it.
