While I don’t agree with all of her opinions, I found this to be a more or less fair assessment of China and the PRC’s history.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Viki 1999, I really recommend watching The cold war from the soviet POV | Bias in storytelling.

I watched one of these guys videos the other day and I rolled my eyes into the back of my skull
Just a load of CNT-FAI and Krondstatt propaganda that they weren’t authoritarian. Desipte the unelected PRC at krondstat wanting a military dictatorship and being led by Petrichenko who tried to join the White Army in 1920 (2 years after brutal civil war)
After that I thought there’s literally no reason to be subbed to this crap so you’ll excuse me if I don’t bother with what they have to say on China
The content creator is a libertarian socialist and I already see people poking holes into his video on Tankie Bunker (the Discord server that I moderate with some others).
Even so, a “fair” assessment is hard to find nowadays.
it’s an okay video, but as seems a trend, she (Viki) cites wikipedia way too much for comfort. She’s a good content maker but at times she appears to have a bit of western bias at times.
