    From what I understand it might be that the police got the wind of an assassination attempt then this Wood guy got Malcolm’s bodyguards arrested so that the assassination may be easier.

    They did kill them though. They assassinate any black leader right as they are about to build a broader coalition with the US working class.

      Ya, accomplices is the best way to say it. Malcolm X also said that after one NOI assassination attempt on his family, when the NOI tried to firebomb his house, he said that the FBI had thoroughly infiltrated the NOI and knew everything that was going on. So they already knew the hit was out on him, and made it easier for them by arresting his bodyguards.
