A lot of vegan sushi posts mention “vegan fish” made from some form of plant polymer like konjac, and the pictures they show look absolutely spot on for what fish actually looks like, to the point where I keep doubting if they cheated on the picture by using actual fish. I can’t seem to find much relevant information online. Does anyone know a seller for realistic vegan fish that either ships internationally or ships to Canada?

Hmm this would be pretty neat if it’s sustainable and reasonably healthy. Most of the vegetarian sushi I have had was pretty bad especially the ones that had cucumber in them.

I was stumped on this too, but then we found hearts of palm. This isn’t the recipe but you could probably adapt it to do sushi . https://www.darngoodveggies.com/vegan-sushi-bowl/

You can also do things like fish sticks with them, that’s the only recipe we tried so far and they were really good.
