Vegan B12 cheap supplements? (without lactose, etc)

Well, after forgetting likely 5 months about taking enough fortified food with B12 vitamin, I finished with deficiency in last medical check.

When the doctor provided me the recipe for the pharmacy, I checked that the supplement contained lactose. After checking a bit online, it seems this is a bit common but that there are versions without animal-derivated products.

So that, I ask you. Which are the recommended to be asked to my doctor to produce a recipe for the pharmacy? (I live in Spain/Europe)

In the case this is a bit hard, I also accept buying it online.

See if you can find some nutritional yeast; it’s pretty inexpensive, commonly sold at health-food stores, and is usually fortified with vegan B12. It has a mild cheesy/buttery flavor and goes well in many dishes, so you can add it to just about anything. From the bag I have a serving size of 6mL is ~100% of the daily recommended dose of B12, so it’s really easy to sprinkle a little bit onto whatever I’m eating and not have to worry about a pill.

I usually buy my B12 supplements from a local store (luckily where I live I can easily find vegan supplements in a couple of stores/pharmacies), but my sister used to buy them from Amazon. If you don’t want to buy from Amazon, then I have no idea what online store to suggest, I’m sorry :( I’ve heard about https://www.thevegankindsupermarket.com but I’ve never shopped there

I’ve consumed B12-fortified milk for some weeks, but honestly it costed too much and I decided to switch to pills. The 365-pills bottle is 20 bucks here, so I’m good for a year

20 euros is the price of a 90 pills bottle of 2000 μg per pill here in a non-conventional pharmacy, like a parapharmacy or similar stores.

The bottle I’m consuming right now is 365 pills, 1000 μg each, and I paid it 22 €. Just checked on Amazon Italy and the first vegan B12 supplement in the results it’s a 365 pills x 1000 μg for 18 €. Weird that in Spain it costs that much - maybe the best choice for your pocket is to buy from Amazon.

Anyway, I know about some online stores that only deliver in Italy, such as ivegan.it - there it’s even more expensive than your local pharmacy: 60 pills x 1000 μg at 19.90 €
