Deindustrialization of Europe is proceeding as planned though.
If only that revenue went somewhere other than deep storage
The practical effect was that Western utilities and gas suppliers made fuck-you amounts of money!
China and India are making bank too. They get Russian gas at a discount and then resell it to Europe at a markup. Everybody wins when you think about it. Europe just wants to share its wealth with the former colonies.
