I’m genuinely starting to think there’s some sinister plan at work here. America does not want Hillary to be president, how many times does she have to lose before this becomes clear?

    Performative feminism?

I’d argue that most male dominated and patriarchal environments in the last 10 years have made these big pushes to promote and include women not for any based or equality/new perspectives/representational aspect but for pure tokenism.

America have yet to have a female president, hillary not only satisfies their need to offset the clear sexism in american politics but since hillary is just a neoliberal ghoul she would actively serve their needs both politically and socially.

Now I don’t think the republicans care, but the dems need to pretend they give a ahit about women, minority struggle etc because their base relies on idiot libs who think they understand these issues.

E.g. Mr. “I’m white and believe in equality” middle class voter will resonate with the idea of a female president because they just don’t get the performative shit that it is. The neo liberal feminist movements will jump on that bandwagon as well no doubt and if it all fails and hillary doesn’t succeed then its not the democratic party that’s at fault but the sexism of the republicans and voters that’s the issue.

It cleverly shifts blame from the systemic sexism of american politics onto the voters while rehabilitating their image for the clowns who think the dems care about them.

In the end whether they win or lose they still rake in money, maintain their positions of power and the end game is that men continue to dominate that sphere.

That would be my take but I’m sure there’s more to it I’m missing.

And it’s certainly going to add to the Gender War™ Discourse going about on the brain-poison apps where just like last time, if you don’t vote for Hillary this time, then you’re automatically a misogynist supporter of patriarchy no matter what your rationale for withholding is, or how materially founded your rationale is.

This’ll have the knock-on effect of amplifying the typical outsider’s view of feminism as a whole (despite their cone of view only seeing neoliberal feminism) as a viper pit of misandry, virtue signalling, and toxicity.

tl;dr: if you’re not off Twitter yet, AND if this isn’t neocon driveling; then you should probably prioritize being off Twitter before the New Year hits, 'cause it’s gonna get worse.

It’s very clever (cruel and manipulative) how they managed to consistently weaponise social justice against itself by using morons to push exactly what you’ve described.

At this point the Anglo public feels like a lost cause of idiocy, ignorance and chauvinism.

My brothers, sisters, everyone in-between and outside; I am so fucking tired of liberals and I pray this is simply neocon rumor milling.

i guess if there’s going to be a widely disliked war, you might as well give the liberals the first woman president as a form of bread and circus

Could it be that it is she herself that is doing the push? She and all those “foundations” and other financial orgs with the Clinton name on it
