    That bit about making Matrix P2P has to be the most exciting, in my opinion. Correct me if I’m wrong, but with P2P, wouldn’t trust to a home server no longer be necessary and only trust between people in the room? Or would that not be how it works?

      Yep, here’s where they talk about it. Imagine matrix being so lightweight, that the “homeserver”, is just the app that you’re already running… they have a working demonstration of that that has dendrite (their golang homeserver), bundled with element for iOS.

      Its one of the end goals of matrix: outlining the protocol, but having homeservers ultimately unnecessary, and embedded into the app that you’re already running.
