Could you please take a look at this?

Are these the people to get in touch with when you see spam? I’m asking because there’s been an uptick lately.

There’s reporting functionality in the works: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/1197

But for now pinging the admins seems to be the only reliable way of getting this addressed relatively quickly.

I think so, they are the instance administrators.
Maybe I’m wrong and we should just tag the community moderators?

Ideally it’d be the non-dev admins first, so not dessalines and nutomic cuz they got better stuff to do. But any of us can handle it. if it’s just a post that needs to be taken down, community mod can do it, but if the account needs to go… yup

Understood, thanks!
I hope not, but next time I see a spam post, I’m going to tag only the community moderator.

ehhh, it’s good to catch an account when someone notices it, not just the post. but it’s also reasonable to ask the community moderator to check the post history and tag in an admin rather than you having to do it.

Yeah, makes sense. Nah, according to @glennsl@lemmy.ml (thanks, btw!) you should be good.

Funnily enough, I originally copied his/her/its (maybe it’s a sapient bumblebee) message, thinking the user tagging/linking was automatic.

Edit: just saw glenn’s reply to your comment.
