Why the fuck would they dump it in the river? Aren’t there any wastewater treatment plants in the US?
They could have dumped it into the sewer system. I think at the time, they claimed it was an accident. Nobody really bought that, though.

I’ve been remembering this incident somewhat recently, actually. Strange, when I first heard about it long ago I thought that it was about a bus driver who decided that all of his passengers who couldn’t hold it in any longer just had to do it off the edge of a bridge. The ‘passengers’ being a septic tank makes more sense, though.
Lol I remember watching a little video on this. The driver got in a lot of trouble after they tracked him down.
