okay, apparently i can’t miss the opportunity to flex with the internet speeds/prices in russia

500mb/s at home for 500 rubles (~7 usd), same price for mobile

unlimited (duh, of course) symmetrical connection with pretty much no dips in speeds

Canada has some of the worst mobile prices because it’s basically a cartel here.

you could cancel your home internet and just use mobile.

if you don’t need alot of data.

Glass-fiber or DSL at home starts from roughly about 35 to 50 Euro per month. Performance is fine.

A few good choices in terms of price and quality in France. I downgraded to a basic offer and now pay €24/month for my mobile+home bundle. The mobile is unlimited calls/sms with 5GB but I don’t even use 500MB per month. I have a 100mbps connection with unlimited calling worldwide. My previous ISP I paid €50/month for 100mbps + unlimited calling + free international roaming + unlimited data calls and SMS. I am not sure about the 100mbps part. In 2 months I will be able to get fibre optic but seriously, I can download stuff at 1.5 MB/s and call my family around the world and watch Disney and whatnot with this cheaper plan…I might not change. All ISPs provide modem+routeur here too. My previous ISP included a NAS and a BluRay player!

My mother lives in rural Canada and pays a fucking fortune and her internet is garbage, can’t even watch YT. Her mobile package is a capped data plan and her home internet is a bandwidth/data capped plan. Absolute ripoff.

I’m in the UK and I pay 25 pounds per month for unlimited data with 3. I like it because I get free roaming in a lot of countries.

On the other hand I pay 35 pounds per month for a 70Mb line that’s down for several hours every week which forces me to pay an additional 20 pounds per month on a 4G home router.
