I used to be a big fan of fancy coffee prep methods, but I’ve turned to grinding my beans very fine and dumping them in hot water. The grounds will sink to the bottom once it’s ready, and it’ll taste very crisp and clear :)
I make it the night before so I can put it in the fridge and for my brother and I to drink cool in the morning. I throw a couple ice cubes in there and a splash of vanilla. Too damn hot right now to do a steaming cup!
I’ve been drinking yerba matte for the past month. But I have an auto drip coffee maker that does an initial brew for 20ish seconds, let’s the coffee bloom, then brews the rest. I buy local roasted coffee and grind it at home.___
made in a moka pot, then cooled to below freezing temperature just right to the point where it’s half ice and half unfreezed coffee, then blended with some additional ice and almond milk, afterwards mixed with a bit of depression
I’m not entirely sure that moka pot is the name that is goes by most often in english. I just searched for it in my native language and then looked up an english version of the wikipedia page about it.
if it’s from my french press then with some creamer and no sugar. If it’s instant coffee though it’s a free for all. I just pick random spices and shit and stuff from the fridge and make some horrific Frankenstein of a drink.
We have a stainless steel camp percolator. It’s great because we can clean it after each use to keep the oil down (so our coffee doesn’t get too bitter), but it gets a tiny bit gritty. I personally take it black.
I think once in a cafe! I’m a sucker for cardamom in anything. My mom had us start brewing coffee with cardamom after she got back from a trip to Turkey once and I’ll never go back. (it also goes very well with condensed milk)
If I drink coffee in the morning then I do a cold shake with almond syrup. I think this recipe has some French name but I can’t recall it.
Other than that I prefer Matcha or Houjicha - the caffeine in it is much more morning friendly to me and the tea preparation process helps me meditate a bit before starting the day.

you ever looked into cold brewing? it’s pretty cheap to get started and makes some incredibly potent coffee
I’ve heard of that! I was told it takes a long time, that was honestly enough to discourage me.
Nah, back when I did it, it was just an overnight thing, which it seems like you’re already on board for anyways!

Never heard of moka pot, but I hear the depression makes it bitter.

moka pot

Moka pot is the general name. You may try Moka express after the century-lasting brand.
(pretty much like using scotch tape instead of PSA tape)
Ah yeah, those are cool too.
what is depression? as in, is it something other than the mental health depression?
I think it’s a joke 😂😭
how can you know for sure? 🤔🤔🤔

lol sounds delish. When I have instant coffee, I like to put vanilla creamer and oat milk.
I’ve never had oat milk but it sounds good

Black ☕
As a diet can of monster
Bro same!
pog
Ugh, back in my night-shift retail days I’d drink those giant 3-serving cans frighteningly often. 😬
Shitty instant coffee with a lump of coconut fat creamer
Black. It’s a nice little ritual of mine to grind the beans and then brew via french-press as my first action of the day.
From the supermarket. I wish I had a real coffee machine.
cardamom and lots of cream :red heart:
Have you tried pulla? It’s a finnish cardamom bread usually eaten with coffee.

Just started doing cold brew this summer, 20 hours steeped room temperature and then in the fridge for another 12 hours. Worth the wait!
Same, I do cold brew concentrates and I can’t go back now.
I got a pour over with a reusable stainless steel filter, works pretty well. I find it’s pretty similar to using a french press.
I brew store-brand grounds in a drip coffee maker and drink it with just a tiny bit of milk.
Burr grind light roasted beans, aeropress. Pour over ice with a splash of oat milk
Crisp!
mmmm mocha

I don’t, caffeine sucks.
