A free software to take back control of your videos
Peertube is an open, federated alternative to Youtube without advertising or tracking. On this site, you can find a good Peertube instance, with good rules, good moderation and most importantly a friendly community.
I would say the privacytools instance is alright. But also looking for good content on peertube. https://tube.privacytools.io/videos/most-liked
I wonder if peertube had a really popular instance if it would be more efficient for the internet. I mean in the sense of how youtube throttled video quality in a few countries during the pandemic. Would having it be P2P mean less pressure on the infrastructure since in theory people geographically close to one another could share the data instead of it all coming from a central server.
Haven’t found any as yet
So far i have not discovered any creator which i like , about who i have not know before from another platform. I only watch techlore and luke smith , when i feel i do not want to open LBRY app. It is hard to find something on peertube. There is not really global search. I heard that they did something about it , but I have not try it out so far.

also sepiasearch :)
aka https://search.joinpeertube.org/
Oh thanks that you reminded me that there is this option , but if i can remember , I am not sure about that 100% , i have read that in new release developers did something about global search and admins of servers need to enable that functionality , so you will be able to find content from another instance within your instance.
EDIT: Yeah , this is from last github release from features : Add global search support (has to be explicitely enabled by admins)

I mean in the description of this video he writes “Please support my Peertube instance by donating! (((YouTube))) pays, but Peertube will have to survive on donations, but it will be worth it.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_parentheses
I don’t believe his play with alt-right memes is just play, I believe that he very cautiously uses the memes to signal his positions while he is at the same time actively avoiding to say anything political. I believe that him using triple parentheses here was a mistake where he actually showed his face, because he doesn’t use many dog whistles apart from right-wing memes which arguably aren’t clear dog whistles.
Also I just found someone’s take on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmemes/comments/dkh6jx/luke_smith_starter_pack/) about luke smith that I pretty much agree with:
