In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn’t great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don’t promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
- Be nice :)

If pocket put a lot of effort into providing well-researched, neutral articles I’d probably forgo the privacy issues to get a centered view on current events.
Currently it’s just clickbait though

There are 2 alternatives that I’ve never tested, wallabag and shaarli. I am also debating giving up pocket so I’d like to hear if you find any other solutions.

Flym is a nice looking RSS reader for Android. On my desktops I use newsboat and QuiteRSS.
Wasn’t there some rss reader by guardian project?
You’re probably thinking of “Courier”. It’s still in the Guardian Archive repo, but that usually means there was some issue with it. There’s also not been an update packaged for it in 6 years.
If you like QuiteRSS, you might also like Handy News Reader on Android. They both sort of follow the “features over polish” paradigm.
