Not sure this is the correct place to post this kind of requests.

I’m one of the guy who is currently taking care of the Italian localization, and while using Lemmy I was quite annoyed by how some strings were translated (by me lol).

I figured out the .deleted key is apparently used in this scenarios:

  • when the author of a comment deletes the comment
  • when the creator of a community deletes the community
  • (possibly, I suppose) when the author of a post deletes their post

The same translation is used in these three different places in the interface, but in my opinion, Lemmy should use a separated localization key for deleted communities, as there isn’t (as far as I know) a decent word that can be interchangeably used to refer to the author of a post/comment and to the creator of a community. It’s quite weird to refer to the creator of a community as its “author”, in the same way it would be weird to refer to the author of a comment as its “creator”.
