I’ve recently posted a documentary that I saw from ProPublica+FrontLine. It was presented a bit naïve, not understanding some of the issues leading to these fascists being ignored. If you can find anything that’s recent(like preferably past 10 yrs or so) I’d appreciate it to better understand why America is so quickly devolving into chaos
I think that capitalismindecay would be a better spot for this than FULLCOMMUNISM. But to respond to your issue, the Moa published a two‐part documentary (1, 2) focusing on the more ideological side of the alt‐right.
As for why Usonian neofascism is a thing at all… well, I have my own theory on why that is, but I’ve never found a video directly addressing that question.
Shaun got close, but I find his analysis woefully incomplete and too light on class analysis. The Empire Files has occasionally gotten close, too, but I don’t find their analyses complete either. The videos are also too Trump‐centric, which not only dates them but oversimplifies their analyses; not every neofascist respects Trump, whom some see as too moderate or even subservient to their worst enemies.
So I’m sorry to leave you with a half‐assed response, but I won’t regret writing it if it’s better than nothing for you.
Thanks I’ll check that community out a bit. And I absolutely agree. I hate people who focus in on Trump like he’s a monolithic figure, more evil and calculating than anyone else. He’s a moron with decent hypemen. He in my opinion is probably a Proto-Fascist, he’s shitty and willing to do a lot of bad shit and break rules but end of the day, the Fascists will most likely use a more traditional, more masculine figure that’s more in touch with a class collaboration narrative rather than draining the swamp. DeSantis is probably not that guy, but I could see them trying him out. In all honesty, I can see a fascist rising to power in USA(legitimate fascist, not just a Reagan that was straddling the line) in maybe late 2030s
