RadioFreeAsia is a CIA org, posts from them won’t be allowed here. This is your first warning.

Was curious so I tried searching about it.

It’s kind of weird that Wikipedia only says this about RFA and its alleged CIA ties:

According to a report by the Congressional Research Service of the U.S. government, official state-controlled newspapers in China have run editorials claiming Radio Free Asia is a CIA broadcast operation, as was the case with the first Radio Free Asia.

Which by itself is far from solid evidence (more of a “he said that she said that he said” thing), but this New York Times article from 1977 literally says “Far more obscure were two other C.I.A. broadcasting ventures, Radio Free Asia and a rather tenuous operation known as Free Cuba Radio.”

I also found this archived document about RFA on the CIA website but I only skimmed through it. Looks interesting though.

Finally, are we sure that RFA is still controlled by the CIA? I’ve found sites suggesting that it’s no longer CIA but nothing particularly reputable.

I found that article too (and linked it in my original comment).

Most likely, so far your first two posts on this site are from pro-US human rights / regime change complex orgs. I suggest not doing that, or making your own lemmy instance to post pro-US articles.
