★ More security: chats are now encrypted forever, unencrypted email is received in separated recognizable chats marked with an email envelope icon

★ Cleaner UI: Since chats are always encrypted, padlocks and green checkmark icons are gone. Only “Saved Messages” and “Device Messages” chats keep a green checkmark

★ Now channels owners can set an avatar for their channel and subscribers can leave channels

    @adbenitez recently you implemented a call inside the app and not in the browser or separate jitsi apps, very well, works even with the off screen, but there is an inconvenience that you can’t write a message in arcanechat until you leave the call, would be very glad if you added the exit function from the call without its completion, can type as on the picture, well and why not make the mode for tablets with the split screen, too, thanks in advance

      hi @vazinoc@mastodon.social that area is bound to change in the near future, that new screen is pretty experimental and incomplete,

      you can still long-press the message to copy it and get the URL and open it directly in the browser to get the old behavior you also don’t need at all to use the videochat invitation of the app, you can just share invitations links directly in the chat and use the browser or jitsi meet app
