Got curious, as back in the day I imagine it wouldn’t be too out of place for the government to carry out the imprisonment or assaniation of a communist figure, but I haven’t heard of any such things happening in the modern day (e.g. past the year 2000).
If there is a strong Marxist organisation/organizer in the UK now, what happens? Do they get deported? Imprisoned? Assaniated? Do we have any recent figures to learn about as examples?

Not a communist but there was the blatant murder of Dr. David Kelly back when the Iraq war started.
Kelly either whistle-blew to the BBC that downing Street had “sexed up” the report on Iraq’s weapon capabilities or was framed by others as the whistleblower despite denying it till his murder.
Shortly after the inquest on the leak he was found dead having apparently overdosed on painkillers and cut his own wrist but all evidence suggests this was a murder made to look like suicide.
I’ve heard of loads of other sus bs similar to this but I can’t find any sources bar “trust me bro” so I’m not going to share my commie pub stories I’ve heard from others as fact when I frankly don’t know but if I get something more concrete I’ll edit this comment for you 😊
Edit: Liverpool mayoral shortlist that contained a socialist was scrapped because of the controversy around the previous mayor’s corruption arrest and Keith Stamper wanting the “right person” for the roll. The whole short list was female with the more lefty lady being personally endorsed by corbyn so massive misogyny vibes but that would track given that Starmer supported the spycops bill that allows police to lie about their identity, rape and manipulate women if it helps the needs of a case. Those cases usually being environmental groups getting crushed by the pigs vs terrorism which was their excuse for the insane legislation.
Apologies for lib source but yeah. Again not a communist or a murder this time but another example of the labour aristocracy erasing left leaning candidates to protect their interests and the status quo.
