Don’t worry, it’s utterly abandoned.

Lemmy.ml admin here, had to deal with the guy who created that community. Brings back memories. Not exactly good memories, but memories nonetheless.

Why are there some weird communities, I found some while I was trying to do my Club Hub project(it failed miserably, but I have hope)

A lot of people just assume lemmy.ml is a generic reddit replacement rather than an explicitly leftist/FOSS Lemmy instance, so instead of picking an appropriate site they just rush in and make a community, which is immediately abandoned and/or downvoted. Any weird communities come to mind?

      What kind of project?

Well after the Great Lemmygrad Migration, and GZD got quarantined I had an idea to make building communities on here easier. So I made a post and got some traction but it ended up being really just me trying to get it up, and burned out. It is still up if you wanna check it out. I think if we have more numbers it could be more viable.

Nah man I found some like an AnarchoPrim and some weird amalgamated left leaning communities.

How weird are we talking? If you found any that are actually dodgy or otherwise unsavoury on Lemmy.ml (i.e. spam, trolling, hate speech, NSFW/NSFL, etc) please DM me or another admin on our instance! We don’t have a report button for entire communities yet, so a DM with the link is how you report those for the time being.
