I am using hetzner.com for my servers, and Lemmy is hosted time4vps.com. But I am curious about other providers that you can recommend, especially ones that arent under strict laws like this.

      Thanks for the suggestions! But German providers are generally problematic for me, because Germany considers the YPG a terrorist organisation, and the law is also very strict when it comes to torrents and copyright in general.

    I usually host my stuff at Netcup.eu. The prices in the low range are pretty good (I am paying about 8.5€ for 4C/10GB and 200GB space, though this was a special offer, which they publish every first Tuesday per month).

    I’ve used virpus in the past since they have a cheap $25 a year box. Linode is also nice. I usually just use Google Clouds always free tier for stuff I can containerize though.
