Italian police boarded the 459-foot vessel – which comes equipped with six decks, two helipads, a judo gym, a five-metre aquarium, a swimming pool which turns into a dance floor, gold adorned bathrooms and a self-playing piano – and informed the crew the ship would not be setting sail.

Judo gym is a dead giveaway that this belongs to Putin. Blows my mind how people seriously defend this guy as legitimate when he claims he makes $140k/year.

I’m still waiting on all the people to explain how Putin isn’t an oligarch. The mental gymnastics I’ve seen in some leftist circles on Putin is just astounding.

So you mean we can criticize both western empires and Russian empire? Then we agree!

Correct me if I’m wrong but this is my current take

Putin’s wealth is extremely likely to come from Russia itself right? So his assets (purchased with Russian wealth) being seized by another country is technically not good because it will now be in the hands of another countrys bourgeoisie. Would it not be better for it to simply remain in Russia with Putin (in Russia) for when the Russian people are ready to return to socialism (however far off that is). Same goes for all Russian oligarchal wealth.

That’s not entirely wrong. Let’s build a free Commune on Putin’s yacht? :D

On a more serious note, i don’t have recent news from them but there was a Russian oligarch mansion squatted in London to house refugees a few years back. Not that there is a need for the landowner to be Russian in order to produce a squat, it just so happens that was the case ;)
