I definitely see the merit in having two or three, since this is a major landing spot of reddit refugees who would benefit from an introduction such as both the 2nd and 3rd posts, but the 4th is not really helpful despite being funny, apart from those chat links which should be in the sidebar rather than a random post, and the 5th is literally empty, even if polite.

    I think it’s a bit too much. I find it a bit annoying having to scroll through five posts every time I wanna see the new posts on the community. Also I think it might be somewhat confusing for new users. Maybe the first 3 posts would be well enough.

    It definitely doesn’t help to have so many chunky elements on top too. If anyone uses the ‘Reddit is Fun’ app, everything is so compact that even if you had 5 sticky posts, you’d be able to see 3-4 other posts below without scrolling.

    The frontpage on lammygrad solves the problems. Like, there are no stickies here, and the sorting algoritm is way better than Reddit’s, and lammygrad is by default already a filter.
