not yet, but according to Gonzalo Liras subsummation it describes the relationship between Victoria Nulands father Sherwin B Nuland with his father Shmuel Meyer-Nudelman. Their traumatic relationship is rooted in the frustrations and broken life of Shmuel Meyer-Nudelman who had to flee (Ukraine/russia, i guess eastern Ukraine). As of yet i am not sure to which kind of persecution but assumeing he was a wealthy jewish citizen, he could have been victimized by both sides, the antisemitic white armists who saw the jewish citizenry as the root of communism as well as the bolshevik revolutionaries who - since often from underclasses - saw jewish citizenry as kulaks or kulak allied.
So basically her grandfathers trauma caused by some russian political event made him hate russians and it seems as if Victoria Nuland picked up on this trauma. while her father struggled to come to peace with his father, it seems the flame of searing hatred and intergenerational despair has been passed on to her
