I’m doing econ rn and this is some of the fun stuff I get to hear. “A big problem for the soviet union was the fact that they had 0% unemployment. Think about it if you knew you could get a job anywhere why would you work hard?” -My econ teacher

  • I always found the “gommunism same paycheque” argument silly. Even if it was true, where exactly is the problem?

Everyone gets to do whatever profession they enjoy most, without worrying about the money? Great!

One of the dumbest things about capitalism is that it (largely) forces you to work to live but can’t guarantee you a job at all, and certainly not one that will allow you to live comfortably.

Wait even in this dumbass shit the perfectly equal distribution looks like the best option. The implied “centrist” position is to murder a couple of people through deprivation so that you make $12,000 and one dude makes like $30k??? How is that supposed to sound good???

Idk, maybe people would work hard because they like their jobs and want to help build a society that’s made for them and not just who has the most money

Think about it, if you could get a job anywhere, why would you sacrifice everything and everyone you ever loved to become a walking catalogue of overtime violations?
