i honestly would not be surprised if ukraine has some requirements waived or fast-tracked in light of its mitigating circumstances and the unity of europe at this moment behind the ukrainian cause. we’ve already seen the EU pull out some stops for ukraine that go beyond what you’d expect of a simple partnership–in fact the EU as a whole seems to almost be treating ukraine as a 28th member already, even though it isn’t.
