    I haven’t deleted my account as there are still two or three small communities essential to me that haven’t migrated to Lemmy yet.

    Once they do, I am deleting it for good.

    Is there some sort of way to also keep a local backup of your reddit account? I would hate to lose a lot of very valuable things I have commented on or posted or saved and so on.

      You can request an archive from Reddit. It may be necessary to use a European IP address to invoke GDPR. At least a couple of the batch editing tools offered to make a backup, I think, but I don’t know how the API restrictions impacted them.
