BS article doesn’t link to the repo or anything =/
Why should it link to the repo … the author gave an interview to Bloomberg.
Because that’s how news is supposed to work… they report on and link to primary sources…
EDIT: there are a bunch of copy-cat repos, how do we know they even talked to the right person?
EDIT2: because its an open-source project, the code still exists when the original author leaves, and can be picked up by others. The project is not dead, so why wouldn’t they link to it?
- You can webcam with someone, check the email + pgp signatures. I am not Bloomberg and I am not someone who needs to explain to you how journalism works.
- If the original author says the project shuts down then we need to take it as-is, and there is an post with rip on the official page.

Same like The-Eye, people are not willingly to support good projects and this is what you get. Does not surprise me, and always eating a 💩- 🥪 results in less or no motivation to continue.
Now shady people will copy it, scam and infect users with fakes… bravo…
I once again blame Piracy Subreddit mods, they were aware of it, did nothing to help here with their 400k user-base to reach out, exactly same like it happened with The-Eye.
