The murder of General Soleimani triggered as response an Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Iraq. The US military was warned of this attack in advance, but failed to intercept the missiles. There was major damage and injuries, yet no retaliation at all. It clearly showed how weak the empire is, and arguably accelerated its deline.

So if that clown wants to repeat the mistake, but against a much more powerful country, it would be catastrophic for the US. After all it would be a declaration of war, and any US military base near China (eg in Korea, Japan, Indonesia etc) would suddenly be a legitimate target for retaliation. Same goes for aircraft carriers, which have no defense at all against Chinese hypersonic missiles.

All in all this is a good example of how clueless “experts” in US media are.

Also, and mind you I could be wrong, I’m pretty sure that assassinating non-military political targets during wartime is a war crime, and doing so during peacetime is a breach of international law. So, either way you cut this, Bill Gertz has just suggested that the US should break international law and end lives that do not require ending as far as war strategy is concerned.

Also, at least according to this, US politicians have been calling for an end to the limits the US government put on assassinations - I.E. US politicians believe the US government should be leading more political assassinations than it already is.
