What was all that nonsense with chicken sandwich comparisons? Is there a big chicken sandwich-based criminal cartel or something?
Chick-Fil-A is a chain of chicken fast food places that is owned and operated by homophobes. So some people boycotted them because of this.
I’m still not sure how that fits here though. The religion thing is secondary to the chicken sandwiches. No one dislikes CZ purely because of his beliefs, but directly because of his business. It would only work as a comparison if the chicken sandwiches were the pseudo-currency of a criminal enterprise and a way to get money out of people with the promise of a chicken sandwich that you wouldn’t see, but were assured that with each passing moment, your chicken sandwich investment would yield an ever-increasing supply of chicken sandwiches in perpetuity.
Tbh, they’re probably right. The only significant opposition to Binance is in the US SEC investigation they are facing right now, the EU doesn’t really care apart from some countries banning it, China has banned it but everyone still uses it anyway and the rest of Asia + Africa have a lot of users. Every jurisdiction except the US is also quite favourable for Binance and their US operations are tiny by comparison.
I would say another 3 years before we see it gone.
