Goodbye trusty subreddit. You will be missed. I had feared that at some point in
the future, Reddit would make the decision to continue to clamp down on the
ever-important DRS GME conversations. I figured that this future was some ways
away, but that future has arrived today. Superstonk still exists but superstonk
is controlled by a group of moderators that are not ashamed to censor topics of
conversation that they do not like. This situation is not ideal.
Why would people move to a platform w/ a MAX 11-character password.
That site is literally asking to be a massive password dump.
If you have any connections to Lemmy Admins or w/e, please let them know this concern.
Did someone ever brute force your password or where does this fear come from? Lemmy probably has precautions against brute forcing. Most passwords get leaked from shitty databases, where the length does not matter.
Ignore this post. I believe the OP’s fears are unfounded. They did the exact same comment on another thread here, to which I’ve replied: https://lemmy.ca/comment/372326
the fuck does this even matter honestly lol
Just use kbin.social instead. that’s the cool thing about the fediverse, you’re not limited by one instance or the other; a kbin-account can still access communities on lemmy :)
Also; where are you seeing the password-limit on lemmy?
