      I definitely love it in theory, but I wonder if that’s what we’re really seeing here. In each of the sentencings this article discusses the judge gave out way less than what prosecutors were going for, and that was more or less the theme of another article I posted about this.

        True, but it’s at least something. It may dissuade other would-be traitors from trying this again. A lot of people think they can handle a short stint in jail and I’m hoping that as these people go away and they do stories on them, their words might work in a Herman Cain Award fashion. But, then again, I am an optimist.

      100% this, every official who tried to submit fake electors slates to Congress is in on this coup and they all ought to face prosecution imo

    These sentences are so crazy lenient I fear they won’t actually deter another attempted coup at some point in the near future.
