Accoring to msarca (on their discord channel) “The entire team behind this project has families to care of, and we can’t afford to continue on the open-source path, given the fact that we made exactly $0 from sponsorships in almost four months. We will continue to develop this project, but we’ll also consider the financial aspects and act accordingly.”

    Although it’s a little disappointing, I’m not too familiar with their efforts to truly develop and fund an open source project. But honestly, 4 months is not a lot of time. I will however give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they have exhausted every funding avenue.
