hello everyone. I released librewolf v94 on osx, it should be coming very soon for linux and windows.
main changes:
I also made some patches that change the default settings UI a bit, by hiding some locked settings, improving some description and removing the annoying “your browser is manged by your organization banner”. some old firefox references are also patched away in the process. I’m not sure if other maintainers will want to include these changes in this release tho, so don’t quote me.
for those who don’t know, the configuration has a changelog that you can check to see how prefs evolve.
the FAQ will be updated soon, once the rollout is complete. also the new website might be ready soon as well :-)
Welcome to the official community for LibreWolf.
LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM. If you have any question please visit our FAQ first: https://librewolf.net/docs/faq/
To learn more or to download the browser visit the website: https://librewolf.net/
If you want to contribute head over to our Gitlab: https://gitlab.com/librewolf-community/browser
it will be a staged rollout on the stable channel of firefox, so we decided to go ahead and enable it. if you are still experiencing any kind of bug in this release, let us know so that we can collect some data and open a bug upstream if needed.
fission is so crucial btw. mozilla is working on some really good stuff, despite what the chromium bubble likes to say.
Just on the same day of FF release, the Librewolf corresponding release is announced. Way to go !
