I’m a venezuelan. The “Venezuelan own media” you mention are government propaganda media that of course will say that there is nothing wrong here.
And if you ever talk to actual venezuelans, you would know that human rights violations happen here daily. Nobody trusts the police because they’re bastards and institutions like FAES might fuck entire families of innocent people just for pissing them off.
Me myself I’m a survivor of human right violations, and also know many torture survivors. So don’t just say there everything is good pink and happy in Venezuela, cuz is not.
Most media in Venezuela are private doing propaganda against building houses for people, and not mentioning international sanctions that devalue Venezuelan currency and inflation. State TV channels, or newspapers do not dominate the Venezuelan media market. Capitalists who are already rich, but never have enough are vile against the government and people controlled cooperatives there.
Also. Venezuela is in the west, so venezuelan media is also “western media”
And if you think that there is no genocide happening in China, then you are no better and far right extremist who think that the Holocaust was a hoax.
Also, don’t just believe something because “it makes sense” for you.
Not really, though, the West does not refer to the actual west in the cardinal sense, but rather to the countries that created what we consider as western thought or western philosophy, that’s a reason why the French Guiana, Canada and the US belong to the West but not Latin America. Honestly is a shitty term because it’s super abstract and with lots of interpretations but IMHO this is the more accepted.
This is the west. There is another map which shows how all the most violent and militarized borders are along these lines. Eastern Europe (war in Ukraine), inter-Korean border, Mediterranean (grave for countless migrants), Mexico-US border (drug wars and migration crisis).
according to western media (the same that lie about the uyghurs “genocide”) venezuela is committing human rights violations
according to venezuela’s own media there is nothing of that
makes a lot more sense to believe this is disinformation
and that’s not to mention you linked the epoch times

Doesn’t mean you’d be objective about it, tho.
