The whole song and dance around GPT is making me nervous. Looks like the need to manually handle equipment is the only thing standing between me and getting replaced by a fuckin script
GPT is very good at solving simple problems and doing simple but tedious things that I hate doing, but every time I try to give it a complex programming or sysadmin problem that it hasn’t seen before, it fails miserably. I don’t think any field that requires complex problem solving is going to be replaced anytime soon.
And plenty of jobs involve simple, but tedious actions. Including IT shit.
Maybe gpt replacing all jobs involving a computer is what is needed for a revolution in the west.

This is an even bigger issue, yes. Seeing how these scripts seem to be very good at solving problems that are given without any concerns a human might have. Wonder if they are already being used for military purposes
Autonomous drones have already chosen and assassinated targets several times without human input.
