The closest I can find is from here https://annals-general-psychiatry.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12991-017-0143-5 which says in a Brazilian city 22.7% of youth experience suicidal thoughts. That’s not the same as suicide. And there is no way of telling if this is the study that rock media gets their source from either.
So I think this statistic is a dead end and Wikipedia should remove it from their page.
