    I’m not a fan of “gift” links.

    1. They’re not gifts; they’re a marketing technique. Their purpose is to funnel people into buying subscriptions.
    2. They are tracking URLs by design. The “unlocked_article_code=XXXXXX” attribute is tied back to the subscriber.
